GRANGER, IN. - The varsity girls golf team opened the dual match portion of the schedule with a visit to Knollwood Country Club to face Trinity School At Greenlawn. LaVille's Elle Lemberis earned medalist honors following a nine-hole round of 51. LaVille also picked up the team victory after posting a final round of 259. Lemberis, a senior, scored the first par of the season on hole #14 when she sank approximately a 12 foot putt. Then, on #15, Lemberis connected on a solid drive, putting the ball approximately 25 yards from the green. Facing an uphill lie, she chipped in for her first-ever birdie during a competition. Gabby Roper shot a 66, followed by Jorryn Zellers and Sophia Nash. The Lancer Golf team returns to the course for its first home match of the season Wednesday, August 10 against Oregon-Davis. The match is scheduled to tee at 5 p.m. at Swan Lake.
