The LaVille girls flag football team concluded its first season of action with an awards recognition program recently. Congratulations to the following team members: Most Valuable Player: Angjelina Gashi Most Improved: "Ana" Anastasia Rosas Positive Mentality: Zoë Owens Offensive Player of the Year: Tarryn Peoples Defensive Player of the Year: Arianna Balmer LHS finished the season 0-7, but it was filled with learning the game of football, improvement, and expanding their horizons. "The first season was as first-season as it could get!" said coach Ally Eisele, who is assisted by Matt Chambers. "Knowing that most of these girls had never played football before, it was going to take a lot of work. But with the girls' hard work and determination, we slowly improved each game, whether it was offensively or defensively, we rocked the season, and there is so much perseverance in these girls. Assistant Coach Matt and I are very proud of these girls, and we are already in the works for next year."
