The Lancers traveled to Akron to participate in the Tippy Valley Invite on Saturday. The boys set the tone for the morning running strong as a team on the challenging course. Luis Garcia and 4 Jace Janiak earned medals for their top 10 finishes, 3rd and 10th respectively. LaVille also had two more runners recognized for finishing in the top 20, Lucas Maenhout (14th) and Brody Foreman (17th). The boys tied Invite Champions, Triton, with 60 points each. The tiebreaker then goes to the pushers, the position of the 6th runner from each team. The Ladies would not be outdone in the second race of the day. LaVille dominated the girls' race with three runners in the top 10. Annie Tyler led the Lancers finishing 3rd overall, followed by Sophie Edison in 7th, and Reagan Strang was the final medalist with her 10th-place finish. The Lancers had four more recognized for finishing in the top 20, Rory Endicott (11th), Zahra Stackowicz (12th), Acelyn Christy (13th), & Kate Hulsey (17th). Middle School Cross Country is on the road again on Tuesday for a conference match-up at North Judson with Culver and OD at 5:30EST.
