LAKEVILLE, IN. - The varsity volleyball team played host to Elkhart Christian Academy in a non-conference match. LaVille lost a 3-0 decision to the Eagles. Ava Fuchs led the offense with five kills, while Lily Smith and Elaina Borton added four kills each. Fuchs and Lucy Sherk chipped in with two blocks each. Kate Aschenbrenner led the service game with four aces, while Borton had six assists. The defense was led by the duo of Olivia Leonhard and Borton with 11 digs each. LaVille, 2-3 overall, will play host to John Glenn on Wednesday, August 17. The junior varsity match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. serve, with the varsity to follow.
