Lancer Track visited Mishawaka on Friday night to take part in the 4th Annual “Classic at Mishawaka,” in what would seem like a David and Goliath match-up with host Cavemen, Penn, Concord, Elkhart, Warsaw, Riley, and Washington. During the 24-25 season, the Lancers advanced four individuals and the 4x400M relay team out of the powerhouse South Bend/ Mishawaka sectional. The Classic provided a snapshot of how late May could shake out, and the Lancers once again proved that they can compete with the best in Northern Indiana. Four Lancers were called to the podium to be recognized as part of the elite top three in a field of 24. Freshman thrower, Austin King, was the Invite Champion at the shot put, and Lance Edison, Dylan Miller, and Ryan Maenhout finished in the top three at 300M Hurdles, 400M Dash, and Pole Vault, respectively. Lancers will host Trinity Academy and INSC rival Bremen on Monday. Field events are scheduled to begin at 5 pm.
