LaVille was the host of the Indiana Northern State Conference Track and Field Championships on Wednesday night and finished as the 2026 victors. The Lancers started off the night with a second-place finish from the 3200 Meter Relay team of Luis Garcia, Hudson Rush, Johnny Yoder, and Isaac Beelby, and picked up momentum from there, winning four of the five field events. Seven different athletes finished the night as individual conference champions, with Dylan Miller and Lance Edison leading the scoring charge with two apiece and a blue ribbon relay contribution. Edison also set new meet records in each of the hurdle races. Edison was joined in the INSC record books by Austin King (Discus) and Ryan Maenhout (PoleVault). Other Lancers with multiple point contributions include: Johnny Yoder, Konnor, Amor, Hudson Rush, Brock Gest, and Luis Garcia. The Lancers hope to keep the momentum going into the state tournament next week. LaVille will be back in action next Thursday at Penn High School as they take part in IHSAA Sectional 5.
