LAKEVILLE, IN. – The LaVille girls soccer team held its annual awards recognition recently. Congratulations to the following recipients: Dan Zeiger Award: Rylie Aschenbrenner Senior Award: Rylie Aschenbrenner Senior Award: Porsha Coffin Senior Award: London Kwiatkowski Senior Award: Anna Medina The Lancers finished 8-5-2 overall under second year coach Brandon Shafer. LHS opened the season 0-1 before rattling off six straight victories against the likes of Bremen, Logansport, Manchester, Mishawaka, and Manchester. The Lions finished the season 10-5-1, while the Spartans closed at 12-6. During the six-match winning streak the Lancers also defeated Logansport and Manchester to win the Manchester Invitational. Four of the losses this season were to teams that finished well above .500. Defender Rylie Aschenbrenner, Midfielder-Defender Portha Coffin, Midfielder-Defender London Kwiatkowski, and Defender Ann Medina will graduate. Juniors Mackena Deason, Brooke Edison, Ava Barrett-Heaton, Mikalah Kuskye, Sydnee Miller, are Reagan Mitchell are among 12 letterwinners expected back in 2024.
