The volleyball team traveled to Plymouth for a non-conference match. LaVille battled with the Pilgrims before PHS came away with a 3-1 victory. Quincy Blodgett led the Lancer defense with 14 digs, while Elaina Borton added 13 digs. Lucy Sherk led the LaVille offense with five kills. Ava Fuchs chipped in with four kills. Sherk also had three aces and Borton seven assists. LaVille, now 5-10 overall, is scheduled to play host to Argos on Thursday, September 1. The junior varsity match is set to begin at 6 p.m., with the varsity match to follow.
