We continue the 2022 fall athletic season by recognizing senior class members from a variety of activities and athletic teams. Senior Lucy Sherk is a member of the LaVille Volleyball team. When asked what advice she would give to incoming freshmen or to those that would like to play sports, Sherk responded: “Always go to that open gym and put in that extra work because even though you may not see the results you are looking for right away, you will in time. And never take your time with your team for granted because high school will fly by and before you know it, it will all be over." Along with extracurricular activities comes time management skills in order to stay on top of class work. How does Lucy manage her time? "I'm not going to lie, sports take up a lot of time, but there is always time to do other things outside of sports, whether it's a little time before practice or after practice," explained Sherk. "You just have to learn that while you may not get all day to do something because you have to go to that practice or that game, you can still enjoy things in that time that you are free."
