Hulsey, Platz Lead Jr. High Cross Country At New Prairie

The junior high cross country team traveled to New Prairie for a four-team match with Knox, Urey, and the host Cougars. The junior high girls finished in third place in the team scoring. New Prairie won the event with 19 points. Urey was second with 64, while the Lancers finished a close third with 68. Knox rounded out the event in fourth with 82. Hallie Hulsey was the top female runner, clocking in at 14:21 and a sixth place finish. Kate Hulsey finished in 11th overall following a 15:15 run, Ella Edison was 22nd in 16;11, Cara Christy 34th in 19:12, and Caydence Yzaguirre 36th in 20:16. There were a total of 47 female runners in the race. On the boys side, Aaron Platz was the top male runner for LaVille, finishing in fifth place overall in 12:58. Brody Foreman was 18th in 14:18, and Peyton Osborne 33rd in 16:23. There were a total of 55 male runners in the race. New Prairie won the team portion with 25 points. Urey finished second with 40 and Knox third with 65. LaVille did not score as a team.
