Lancer Track started the season off with a strong showing on Friday Night at Plymouth High School in a double dual with Plymouth and Triton. Lincoln Hulsey, Michael Good, and Cole Stafford picked up nearly one-third of LaVille’s points. Hulsye led the scoring drive winning the Pole Vault and the 400m, and was a key leg in both the 4x800 & 4x400M Relays. Good dominated the throwing events in his return season and also contributed to the 4x400M Relay. Stafford won the Long Jump, picked up second-place finishes in the 200 & 400M races and helped the 4x400M Relay effort. Matthew Schaefer contributed with a pair of second-place finishes in Pole Vault & the 300M Hurdles. Colin Christy and Sam Sherk also contributed significantly to the Lancer scoring effort, both on the 4x800M Relay. Sherk finished second in the Long Jump and Christy contributed with strong finishes in the 1600M & 3200M Runs. The Lancers will host South Bend Trinity and Elkhart Christan Academy on Tuesday with field events kicking off at 5 pm.
