LAKEVILLE, IN. – The LaVille High School girls basketball team has announced their schedule for the 2022-23 season. In total, there are 10 regular season games plus the TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament to see the Lancers live inside Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The regular season begins on Thursday, November 3 as LaVille travels to Jimtown for the opener. The junior varsity game is scheduled to tip at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow. LHS continues its string of seven non-conference games at South Central (Union Mills) on November 5. The Satellites won a Class 2A Sectional title last season. Coach Nicholas Amor's club will open the home schedule with 2022 TCU Bi-County Champion Bremen on November 9 followed by a matinee against Trinity Greenlawn on November 12. The non-conference run continues with road games at Class 3A Sectional champion Culver Academy on November 18, at Elkhart Christian Academy on November 22, and at Mishawaka on November 29. The Lancers return to Cox Gymnasium to open the Hoosier North Athletic Conference schedule on November 30 against Triton. December opens with road trips to South Bend Clay on December 3 and December 9 at HNAC foe Winamac for a girl/boy doubleheader. After seven road games to start the season, LaVille returns to Cox Gymnasium for a three-game homestand. Logansport travels north up US 31 to Lakeville on December 10, South Bend Riley comes south on December 14 and Pioneer, defending conference champion, pays a visit on December 16 for a girl/boy junior varsity and varsity DH. Rounding out the 2022 portion of the schedule is a short trip west on US 6 to Walkerton to face John Glenn on Dec. 20 A non-conference game on January 3 against Sectional 34 foe Career Academy South Bend will open the 2023 side of the schedule. Three consecutive HNAC games will prepare the Lancers for the TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament. Caston starts a pair of home games on January 7, while North Judson-San Pierre will follow on January 10. A girl/boy varsity doubleheader at Knox will be on January 13 . LaVille will once again play host to the TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament. Pairings for that will be determined in early December. The event will be January 16 through January 21. Opening round play will be at four sites, including LaVille on January 16 and January 17. The junior varsity semifinals are on January 18, with girls semifinals and consolations on January 19. The boys take center stage for semifinals and consolations on January 20 before 'Championship Saturday' fills Cox Gymnasium on January 21. Argos, Bremen, Culver, John Glenn, New Prairie, Oregon-Davis and Triton will all join LaVille in the 58th edition of the TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament. The regular season concludes with two road games - IHSAA 1A Regional finalist Argos on January 26 and HNAC foe Culver on January 28.
