LAKEVILLE, IN. - The LaVille girls soccer team held its annual awards recognition recently. Congratulations to the following recipients: Dan Zeiger Award: Myra Garcia MVP Offense: Mikalah Kuskye Mental Attitude: Heaylyn Kwiatkowski MVP Defense: Anna Medina Most Improved: Sydnee Miller   The Lancers finished 6-8-4 overall under first year coach Brandon Shafer. LHS started the season with an 0-4-2 record against much larger schools including South Bend Adams, who finished 8-8-1, Mishawaka, who concluded at 10-6, and 2022 sectional champion Goshen, who ended at 15-4 overall. LaVille finished the season with a 5-2-1 record over the final eight matches. Defender Lauren Edison, forward Myra Garcia, midfielder Maria Sheridan, and goalie Heaylyn Kwiatkowski will graduate. Juniors London Kwiatkowski, Rylie Aschenbrenner, and Anna Medina are among 13 players expected back for the 2023 season.
