LAKEVILLE, IN. - The LaVille Basketball team opens the 2022-23 campaign by hosting a scrimmage on Saturday, November 19. The event is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. inside Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. LaVille is coming off a 4-18 overall record a year ago, but enters with nine returning letterwinners. Coach Michael Edison is back for his 15th season at the helm of the Lancer Basketball program. LHS was eliminated in the Class 2A sectional after a 67-50 decision to South Central (Union Mills). Matt Stoll returns for his third season as head coach of the Jimtown Basketball program. Stoll's squad finished the 2021-22 season with a 7-16 overall record and lost a 59-56 decision to South Bend Clay in the sectional. Stoll is 11-35 during this time in Baugo Township. LaVille is scheduled to open the season on November 23 at Westville. The JV is set to tip at 6:30 p.m., with the varsity to follow.
