ELKHART, IN. - LaVille Lady Hoops returns to the hardwood for a Tuesday night contest at Elkhart Christian Academy. The junior varsity game is scheduled to tip at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow. LaVille leads the series against Elkhart Christian Academy, 19-3. LHS has won nine of the last 10 meetings, including two straight. The last ECA victory on the Elkhart campus came on a 46-34 decision over the Lancers on November 20, 2007. Coach Nicholas Amor's Lancer squad is coming off a disappointing 37-28 loss at Culver Academy on November 18. Though turnovers plagued the Lancer offense at Culver Academy, the Lakeville guests rallied from an 11-point deficit in the second half. At one point, the CGA lead was trimmed to four points at 32-28 with 2:49 left. Good shots down the stretch just would not fall for Amor's club as the offense went bone dry in the loss. "I thought the girls played a good game defensively and just came out a little flat offensively," said Amor. "I never have to worry about effort with these girls. It more comes down to executing our game plan. We needed to keep CGA off the glass and we were not able to accomplish that. We needed to take care of the ball and our turnovers were too high." Elkhart Christian Academy comes into the November 22 game with a 1-3 overall record. The Eagles lost 54-30 to Mishawaka on November 19. Coach Jason Goon's Eagle squad won its first game of the year against Career Academy of South Bend. One of those losses was to Class 1A #13 Bethany Christian. "ECA has had a tough schedule this year so far," Amor said when asked about the Eagles. "I have watched them against Culver Community and they play with high energy. They will pick us up in a full court defense and we have to be ready to handle the pressure."
