LAKEVILLE, IN. - LaVille senior Konner Quinn has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career in baseball at Wabash Valley College. "Wabash Valley College was always one of my top schools due to their great success at the Division 1 Junior College level and their ability to move guys onto four year D1's and professional baseball," explained Quinn. "I came in contact with WVC the winter of my Sophomore year and attended a prospect camp in August of 2021 and verbally committed the next day. I will be a pitcher only there, and plan on majoring in Sports Management." "I am really excited to watch Konner on the mound this spring," said LaVille baseball coach Brian Lawler. "Konner will be our top pitcher this season with his above average arm talent, and he will also be expected to contribute with the bat and as a position player as well. He is an extremely hard working student-athlete who loves baseball and puts in the extra work. "Wabash Valley will be getting a solid student-athlete, and I am excited to see his growth at the next level." Quinn has been playing travel baseball since he was a youngster and appreciates the opportunity to continue. "I have played baseball since I was 5 years old, and started playing travel ball when I was 7 years old," said Quinn. "Travel baseball has had a major effect on my life and baseball career. It gave me the opportunity to play top competition from around the country while also exposing me to college coaches from a young age. I would also not be the player I am today without it, and was one of the big reasons I was capable of reaching one of my goals." Quinn is looking forward to the 2023 season and playing baseball again. "I am very excited for this upcoming season! I cannot wait for this spring, and I am excited to see what we accomplish," said Quinn. "I believe we have a great group of guys that get along great and are hungry to do big things. Coach Lawler has been great in all aspects of coaching, and he is great at working with us and does a lot for us players. "Baseball has impacted my life like nothing else. It has installed a work ethic and discipline in me while also teaching me very early on that you have to fail to succeed. Baseball gave me something I am truly passionate and obsessed with and love to study." In 2022 the Warriors finished 59-9 overall and 4th at the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Co.
