Thursday night was the boys' turn to participate in the IHSAA Track State tournament. The Road to Bloomington began with the Boys Sectional at Penn High School. In a meet where only the top three advance, the evening would mark the end of the road and the end of Track & Field for the ten graduating seniors, leaving a group of talented juniors and underclassmen, ready to move up the ranks of leadership. Field events again would prove to be the strength of the Lancers. LaVille claimed 4 top three spots, (3 field events), ensuring admission to the Goshen Regional, the next stop on the trek to the Bloomington State Finals. Participating next Thursday will be AJ Bedock in the discus, Lincoln Hulsey in pole vault, Garrett Wagoner throwing the shot put, and Owen Smith in the 200M dash, his second regional appearance. Getting the call back by securing one of the next top four spots to complete the regional field of 16 were Erik Bedock in the shot put and Matthew Schaefer in the pole vault. Despite not filling several events, LaVille finished fifth overall.
