GAMEDAY: Knox Next For LaVille Lady Hoops

KNOX, IN. - LaVille Lady Hoops returns to the hardwood for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game. Coach Nicholas Amor's club brings a 11-6 overall record into the January 13 game at Knox. The Lancers are 2-3 in the HNAC standings with two games remaining - Jan. 13 at Knox and Jan. 28 at Culver Community. Coming off a 31-23 loss to North Judson-San Pierre on January 10, LaVille was led by Lucy Sherk with six points and Brooke Edison added five points. Knox, coached by Neill Minix, enters the contest with a 5-16 overall record following a 66-32 loss to South Central (Union Mills) on January 11. Morgan Downs, a junior, leads the Redskin offense, along with senior Riley Messer and Addi Eskridge. KHS is also 2-3 in HNAC play. With 25 games being played in the series since 2000-01, Knox leads the series 17-8 during that time. The Redskins have won the last six straight. The last Lancer victory was a 51-37 triumph at LaVille on January 15, 2016. And, the last LHS victory at Knox came back on Jan. 17, 2004 under longtime Lancer coach John Willoughby, 44-38. It will be a varsity girl-boy doubleheader on Jan. 13, with the varsity girls scheduled to tip at 6:30 p.m. ET. The varsity boys game will follow.
