TCU Bi-County Basketball Action Set For Four Sites On January 17

LAKEVILLE, IN. - The 58th annual TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament tips off the varsity portion of the event on Tuesday, January 17. Four sites will play host to a varsity girl-boy doubleheader as the event gets into full swing - Culver, John Glenn, LaVille, and Triton. In the varsity girls bracket, Bremen is the defending champion and has won three of the last four titles. Coach Alex Robinson's Lions are 5-12 overall and will travel to Triton (12-6). BHS is coming off a 66-49 loss to Elkhart on January 12. Triton defeated Culver by a 30-23 score on January 13. The Trojans defeated Bremen in the regular season meeting 42-35 on December 20 at Bremen. New Prairie brings an 11-7 mark in a road contest with John Glenn (8-11). The Cougars defeated the Falcons 41-27 on January 6 in Walkerton. New Prairie has won five of its last six games, while John Glenn is 1-3 in January. Argos stands at 9-9 overall and pays a visit to Culver Community (7-10). The Dragons nipped the Cavaliers 29-26 on November 22 at Culver. Argos has won three of its last four games. Culver, meanwhile, has won four of its last seven games. Coach Nicholas Amor's Lancers are 12-6 overall and have not played Oregon-Davis in the regular season. LaVille is 2-2 since January 1 and is coming off a 48-41 overtime victory at Knox. The Bobcats are 5-13 overall and 2-2 since 2023 began. OD is coming off a 62-57 loss at River Forest on January 14. On the boys side, John Glenn is the defending champion and has won the last four TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament trophies. The Falcons are set to play host to New Prairie. JG is 7-5 overall and has won six of its last seven games. Coach Travis Hannah's squad is coming off a 58-51 loss to South Bend St. Joseph on January 13. New Prairie is 3-7 overall. Coach Mike Bauer's club lost 65-48 to South Bend Riley on January 13. Triton is 6-4 overall and is set to play host to Bremen. THS has won three of four recently and are coming off a 26-24 victory over Culver Community on January 13. Argos hits the court at Culver Community with an 8-3 overall record. The Dragons have won six of seven and picked up a 54-33 at Oregon-Davis on January 13. The Cavaliers are 5-6 overall following a 26-24 loss at Triton on January 13. LaVille returns to the hardwood with a 5-7 overall mark following a thrilling 65-63 win at Elkhart Christian Academy on January 14. The Lancers play host to Oregon-Davis (2-10). Single-session tickets are $6 per person. Pre-school is admitted free. All-Session tickets are $15 and good for the entire tournament.
