LAKEVILLE, IN. - LVH1 is back on the air! LVH1 has announced plans to stream all varsity games during the 2023 TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament. According to LVH1 instructor Matthew Florian the team will not only produce the game, but plans to add other features during the tournament. "LVH1 will be streaming all the varsity games held in the Dale Cox Gym throughout the week," said Florian. "We'll be providing game highlights to local media outlets and the schools each night, as well as interviews with coaches and staff during the week. We're also working on some featured interviews of the LaVille coaches and players, as well as some of the staff that make the Bi-County Tournament run so well!" LVH1 will also be working MAX 98.3FM to provide the call of varsity games played Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. "LVH1 is proud to be partnering once again with MAX 98.3FM for our coverage of the TCU Bi-County Tournament.," noted Florian. "Tony Ross and his team from SportsToTheMax will be providing the play-by-play and commentary during our games throughout the week. Our production crew will be students from the Principles of Broadcasting class and LVH1 high school club members, along with 6th-grade students from LaVille Elementary's LV-TV program. I'm thrilled to have such a great group of students working during the week, and excited to welcome our 6th graders to the team for this week's games!" The in-school studio for LVH1 will also be receiving a make-over. "This year has been an exciting journey for LVH1!" explained Florian. "In August of 2022, we were awarded a grant to purchase equipment and renovate our studio space at the high school. The Principles of Broadcasting class has been critical in deciding how to design and lay out our new production control room (PCR) and the studio, which will have spaces for virtual sets, interviews, and audio recording. We have also been doing interviews, hype videos, and highlight videos for our sports teams and for school events during the year." Florian concluded by giving us some insight as to what the long range goal of LVH1 is moving forward. "LVH1 is already looking ahead to the sectional season for both the boys' and girls' basketball teams - we'll be going on the road with our teams as long as they're competing this season!" said Florian. "Additionally, we're already looking ahead to the spring sports seasons and highlighting the competitions and hard work of our student-athletes. On the academic and extra-curricular side, LVH1 is working on a behind-the-scenes documentary about the spring musical "The Mermaid", planning our recordings of the music departments' concerts, and the 2023 season of our "Why LaVille?" series where we interview staff and teachers about why they went into teaching and why they choose to work here! And of course, we're looking forward to finishing up our renovation project in our studio space later this spring!" Come check out LVH1 by clicking on https://www.youtube.com/c/LVH1Broadcasting
