LAKEVILLE, IN. - It's ladies night as the TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament moves into the semifinal and consolation round at LaVille High School. Argos, Bremen, LaVille, and New Prairie continue their chase for the 58th annual championship in a pair of semifinal games. Bremen will face New Prairie in the first semifinal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 19 inside Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The Lions are 6-12 overall and coming off a 57-44 victory over Triton in the first round to snap a seven-game losing streak. During the skid, BHS faced three teams ranked in the top 10 - 2A #1 Central Noble, 4A #1 South Bend Washington, and 1A #8 Bethany Christian. Coach Alex Robinson's club is led by Kila Foster at 13.4 points per game. Katie Moyer averages 8.6 ppg and 8.3 rebounds per outing, and Eliana Grubbs chips in 7.1 ppg. New Prairie is 12-7 following a 47-28 win against John Glenn in the opener. The Cougars have won six of their last seven games, including three straight victories. Coach Aimee Litka's squad is led by Jayden Flagg at 12.8 ppg. Morgan White adds 11.7 ppg, and Eva Dodds 10.6 ppg. Jolie Johns leads the rebounding effort at 5.9 per contest. Argos is 10-9 overall after a 38-33 victory over Culver Community in the first round of the TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament. The Dragons have won three of their last four contests. LaVille is 13-6 following a 47-28 win over Oregon-Davis in its tourney debut. The Lancers have won three of five heading into Thursday's semifinal at 8 p.m. Consolation games include Triton (12-7) v. John Glenn (8-12) at 6:30 p.m., and Culver Community (7-12) v. Oregon-Davis (5-14) immediately following in the auxiliary gym. The TCU Bi-County varsity girls title game is scheduled for Saturday, January 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Cox Gymnasium.
