LAKEVILLE, IN. - It's a basketball night in Lakeville! Both LaVille Lady Hoops and LaVille Basketball have advanced to the championship game of the 58th TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament. The varsity girls contest will feature defending champion Bremen (7-12) against the host Lancers. Tip is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. inside Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. Coach Nicholas Amor's LHS squad is 14-6 overall and coming off a 49-41 victory over Argos in the semifinal round on January 19. In a game played on November 9, 2022, LaVille defeated Bremen, 36-27. Bremen is 7-12 overall following an 80-62 win over New Prairie in the TCU Bi-County semifinals on January 19.  The Lions have won three of the last four TCU varsity girls titles. LaVille is making its  first championship game appearance since 2018, The last LaVille crown came in 1993. Coach Michael Edison's club is 7-7 overall and coming off a 59-52 win over Argos in the semifinal round on January 20. John Glenn is 9-5 overall following a 56-22 victory over Triton in the TCU Bi-County semifinals on January 20. Tip is scheduled for approximately 8:30 p.m. inside Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The two teams met in Walkerton, IN., back on December 17 with the Falcons coming away with a 47-33 victory over the Lancers. Glenn has won the last four straight TCU Bi-County varsity boys championships and with a victory would be the first team in 57 years to win five straight tournament titles. The Lancers are making their first appearance in the finals since 2019.  Last won the tournament in 2018. Game on . . .
