WALKERTON, IN. - The LaVille girls tennis team is set to participate in the 2023 John Glenn Invitational. The event is scheduled for John Glenn High School on Saturday, April 8. Start time is 9:30 a.m. Joining the Lancers will be Knox, Rochester and the host Falcons. Strictly a team-oriented tournament, players score points for their team based on victories. There will be no individual champion. Every player at a specific position (i.e. #1 singles) plays each other in a 10 game super-set no matter what. Win by 2 games, tiebreak at 9 all. Each victory is worth one point, with points being added together at the conclusion of the invitational. Teams will then be ranked according to their point total to determine the winning team. Pairings will be determined by a draw once all teams arrive. A team trophy will be presented to the team champion. Restrooms will be available inside John Glenn High School by entering Door #7.
