CULVER, IN. - The baseball team traveled to Culver Community to close the 2023 Hoosier North Athletic Conference campaign. LaVille jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back in 12-0 victory over the Cavaliers. The top of the order played a huge role for coach Brian Lawler's club. Junior Lucas Plummer was instrumental in setting the table, getting on base four times in four plate appearances. Plummer singled and walked three times. He also stole two bases and scored four runs for LHS. Plummer was equally effective on the mound. The versatile athlete tossed five innings, walking three, giving up two hits and striking out nine Culver batters and allowing no earned runs. Sophomore Collin Czarnecki smacked three hits, including a double and two runs batted in. Sophomore Karson Quinn added three hits, a double and three RBIs. Senior Konner Quinn also cracked three hits, a double and three RBI. LaVille improves to 12-14 overall and closed the HNAC season at 7-7. The Lancers will close the regular season on May 20 at John Glenn.
