LAKEVILLE, IN. - The LaVille High School girls soccer program is excited to play host to its second LaVille Girls Soccer Alumni Match! The event is scheduled for Friday, July 28, at Newton Park in Lakeville, IN. First touch is set for 7 p.m. The match will be the current LaVille varsity girls soccer team v. LaVille Alumni. The match will be played in two 30 minute halves. Any LaVille Girls Soccer Alumni interested in participating in the match on July 28 may contact LaVille assistant coach Angie Dunlap at adunlap@unorth.k12.in.us T-shirts will be provided for the alumni. Shirt sizes are due to coach Dunlap by Friday, July 21. To be guaranteed a shirt, please contact adunlap@unorth.k12.in.us no later than July 21. For the record, the LaVille Girls Soccer Alumni won the 2022 match, 3-2. Madison Donahue, LaVille Class of 2018, scored the first goal, Lindsey Aschenbrenner, Class of 2018, tallied the second goal. Kylie Gorka, Class of 2022, finished the scoring for LaVille Alumni. Then-sophomore Mikalah Kuskye netted both goals for the high school team. The LaVille alumni squad was made of members who graduated from 2003 to 2022. "We had such a great turnout last year that we knew we had to have the Alumni Game again this year," explained LaVille head girls soccer coach Brandon Shafer. "It felt like a great way to connect with former players and allow them the experience of playing again. "We had lots of ladies that were more recent graduates, but we would love to have some 10+ year alumni to join us," continued Shafer. "Our hope is to be a little more interactive during the match with some interviews and stories from the alumni about their high school careers." Friends, family and community members are invited. Voluntary donations will be accepted at the gate and funds will go toward the girls' soccer program. We look forward to hosting the LaVille Girls Soccer Alumni event in Lakeville on July 28!
