LAKEVILLE - LaVille Lady Hoops opened the home portion of its schedule Tuesday in a non-conference game against South Bend Adams. Coach Nicholas Amor's club battled 84 feet and 48 minutes before falling 61-42 to the Eagles at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. It was a fast-paced and physical game by both teams as one challenged the other with full court pressure defense, and took the opportunity to push the ball in transition when the opportunity presented itself. The two teams combined for 45 free throw attempts, while there were 45 total fouls between the teams.  A total of three players fouled out. Senior Faith Mejer led the Lancer offense with 18 points and corralled 7 rebounds, while classmate Ava Weil added a career-high 14 points and four assists. Adams junior point-guard led all scorers with 26 points, including five 3-pointers. LaVille (1-5) will return to the court on November 29 in a non-conference match up against North Miami (3-2 before Maconaquah on Nov 26).  The junior varsity game is scheduled to begin at 6pm, with the varsity to follow.
