WALKERTON - Basketball is set for a GAMEDAY visit to rival John Glenn on December 5. LaVille and the host Falcons are on course for the 58th meeting.  John Glenn, holds a 44-13 lead, including winning 8 of the last 10 meetings.  The Lancers won 70-23 a year ago in Lakeville to break a three-year losing streak. John Glenn is 0-2 overall, while LaVille is 1-1 so far this season. It will be the first Indiana Northern State Conference contest of the season for both teams. The Falcons are led by Jude Nicks, who averages 18 points per game along with 2.0 assists per outing.  Archer Rust is John Glenn's top rebounder at 7.5 rebounds per game and leads in steals at 2.5. "John Glenn is always a big rivalry game," said LaVille coach Michael Edison about Friday's game.  "We have had some fierce battles in the past and I expect that to be the case (Friday night).  The Aerie is always a tough place to play and Glenn is highly improved from last year and will be a tough opponent for us.  Jude Nicks was their best player last year and is back again this year as a junior.  They always give us a lot of pressure on defense and have traditionally shot very well in their home confines." Edison's crew is coming off a 61-33 loss to #17-rated Westview at home on Tuesday. "We will need to shoot the ball well, limit turnovers, and keep them out of the paint," said Edison when asked about keys to a Lancer victory. Let's play ...
