Lakeville - LaVille Lady Hoops got back into the conference wars, hosting #7-rated and local rival Bremen Saturday. From back in the 1976-77 season to the present, these two teams have played multiple times in a year from the regular season to the Bi-County tournament to sometimes in the state tournament. The Lions came to Lakeville with a perfect record overall and in the INSC, while LaVille has battled and continues to see improvements after graduation took a large portion of its offense from a year ago. BHS was able to fend off the LaVille in a 58-36 INSC win. Coach Andy Robinson's team put three players in double figures to keep its unbeaten streak alive both overall and in the loop play. Emma Kincaid led the way with 18, Eliana Grubbs had 15, and Skylee Featherscame off the bench to chip in 11. LaVille was led by Denni Markin with 17 points and Faith Mejer added 11 points. LHS returns to the court on December 12th and 13th. The Lancers will face INSC foe Knox Friday, then travel to River Valley, Michigan, on Saturday for a 12pm tip against Kalamazee Central.
