VOLLEYBALL Winamac - The LaVille volleyball team traveled to Winamac for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference match. Both Lancer junior varsity and varsity swept to victories over the Warriors. In the JV match, a team effort was used to beat WHS, 2-0. On the varsity side, the net game was crucial to a 3-0 victory on the road. Ava Fuchs, Caitlyn Goffinet, and Lily Smith led a balanced attack. Fuchs and Elaina Borton collected a stuff block each to help the cause. LaVille improves to 7-12 overall and 1-2 in the HNAC. The Lancers return to action on September 12 in a non-conference match against Tippecanoe Valley.  The JV match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow. In the eighth grade contest, LaVille lost a 2-0 decision to the Cavaliers. On the seventh grade side, the Lancers defeated Culver.  Abby Nace had 3 aces while Kenzie Foster, Bella Higley and Savannah Wagner each had 2 aces. The junior Lancers return to the court on September 13 in another HNAC match against Knox.  The seventh grade match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., with the eighth grade to follow.
