VOLLEYBALL The volleyball team played host to Tippecanoe Valley in a non-conference match. In the junior varsity match, the Vikings defeated LaVille, 2-0. On the varsity side, the Lancers took the first game before suffering a 3-1 setback to Tippecanoe Valley. Reagan Bollenbacher, Kate Aschenbrenner, Ava Fuchs, and Caitlyn Goffinet were stat leaders for LaVille. A few days off from a busy schedule, the Lancers return home three Hoosier North matches next week. Coach Pat Gring's club will face Caston (Sept. 19), Triton (Sept. 21), and North Judson-San Pierre (Sept. 23). Remy Loftus and Kaiden Cundiff netted goals for the Lancers. LaVille is set to play host to Lakeland Christian on September 14. Kick is scheduled for 5 p.m., with senior recognition to be held prior to start of the match. In the seventh grade game, Ben DeWitt scored three touchdowns to lead LaVille to a 26-0 victory over the Warriors. Liam Amor was on the receiving end of a touchdown pass from Colten Schwitz and Landon Gadsby On the eighth grade side, Keena Richhart scored three TDs as the Lancers picked up a 28-0 win. DeMarrion McThune hit pay dirt and Quinton Bollenbacher added two extra points for LaVille. Lancer Football returns to action on September 19 v. Caston in HNAC action. The seventh grade game is scheduled to kick at 5:30 p.m., with the eighth grade to follow.
