GIRLS SOCCER LaVille traveled to LaPorte to close out a busy seven days. Mikalah Kuskye netted a pair of goals to lead the Lancers to a 2-0 victory over the Slicers. LHS improved to 7-2-2 overall and will begin a busy week with three more matches this week. Coach Brandon Shafer's club opens with a rematch from earlier this season against Logansport. The senior night match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Newton Park. The Lancers continue with a match at Culver Community on September 20 at 5:30 p.m. and another at rival at John Glenn on September 23 at 12 p.m. JV FOOTBALL LaVille played host to Logansport for a junior varsity football game at Lancer Field. Four different players scored touchdowns as the Lancers picked up a 30-13 victory. Avery Garrett scored a touchdown and 2-point conversion, Chase Lee a TD and two 2-point conversions, Konner Amor a kick-off return for a TD, and Brayden Schwitz also hit pay dirt for LaVille. The Lancers improve to 3-1 overall and will travel to Knox on September 25 for a 6 p.m. kick. Finally, with Culver Community not having a JV football team, LaVille has added NorthWood to the schedule. The JV game on October 14 is set for a 10 a.m. kick at NorthWood High School. BOYS SOCCER LaVille fell to New Prairie 9-0 in a non-conference match. The Lancers return to action on September 19 at Culver Community for a 5:30 p.m. start. Coach Kevin Christy's team will conclude the season on Sept. 21 in a Hoosier North match against Winamac at Newton Park, Sept. 23 at John Glenn, Sept. 26 at Caston to close the HNAC portion of the schedule, and Sept. 28 at Newton Park v.
