Softball Battles 3A Mishawaka Marian

Mishawaka - LaVille softball traveled to Mishawaka to face the Knights Monday. Class 3A Marian got off to a quick start, scoring in each of the first three innings en route to a 6-1 defeat of the Lancers. Faith Mejer went yard for her third home run of the season in the fourth inning for the LaVille tally. Other Lancers with hits include Kylah Bell with a double, along with singles from Madi Geraghty and MaKenna Christy. Christy tossed 4.2 innings allowing four earned runs on six walks and one strikeout in absorbing the loss in the circle for LaVille. LHS drops to 3-9 overall and is scheduled to return to action May 5 against conference rival John Glenn at Newton Park.
