BOYS SOCCER The boys soccer team traveled to Caston for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference match Tuesday. LaVille lost a 2-1 decision to the Comets. The Lancers play host to South Bend Clay on September 27. Kick is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Newton Park. GIRLS SOCCER The girls soccer team hit the road to Ligonier to face West Noble. The match finished in a 3-3 tie. JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL The junior high football team faced Knox in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game. Landon Gadsby caught a touchdown pass from Colten Schwitz as the seventh graders picked up a 7-0 victory over the Redskins. In the eighth grade game, offense ran on high octane as 56 points were scored between the two teams. Griffen Smith tossed three touchdown passes to lead LaVille to a 36-20 victory over Knox. Keenan Richhart, DeMarrion McThune, and Chase Henry were on the receiving end of Smith's TD passes. Lawrence Wood added a pair of rushing touchdowns, while Richhart surged for a TD on the ground. Defensively, Josh Price hauled in an interception.
