Boys Bowling Improves to 5-0; Penn, New Prairie Up Next

ROCHESTER - The LaVille boys bowling team continues an impressive start to the 2023 high school bowling season. Recently, the Lancers picked up a pair of Michiana West Conference victories over South Bend Adams, 19-1. In the nightcap, LaVille bowled well out of the gate to take the first, before Plymouth rallied to make it close, LV held off the Pilgrims, 11.5 to 8.5. In the Adams match, Chase Schmidt led LaVille with a high-game of 182, while he also finished with a high-series of 360. In the nightcap, Schmidt continued to bowl well, rolling a 189 en route to a series-high of 346. With a pair of victories, the Lancer boys move to 5-0 overall and are tied with Penn and New Prairie. The three teams are set to meet on November 11 at Chippewa Bowl. The first match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with the second match to be played at 3:30 p.m.
