LAKEVILLE - It's a basketball night in Lakeville! LaVille Lady Hoops return to the hardwood on November 17 for a non-conference game against Culver Academy. The Eagles are 4-2 overall and are coming off a 31-30 victory over Peru. So far this season, Culver Academy has had balanced scoring, with no one player averaging in double-figures. A pair of underclassmen are the top scorers for the Eagles. Sophomore Piper Brumm and freshman Kayla Herron both average 9.5 points per game.  Herron leads the glass attack with 4.7 rebounds per game, while Brumm adds 3.5 rpg. Junior Reid Seddelmeyer scores at a 5.5 ppg clip, while freshman Jimara Combs is next at 5.3 ppg, and sophomore Valencia Miller at 5.0 points per contest.  The trio also contributes on the boards, as well.  Seddelmeyer hauls in 4.2 rpg, Combs 43, and Miller chips in with 5.5 boards an outing. LaVille is 1-3 following a 34-17 victory at Trinity Greenlawn. Junior Brooke Edison led the way in scoring for the Lancers with 12 points. Both teams average in the middle to upper 30s on offense. Culver Academy scores 37.7 and is 3-0 so far this season when hitting it average. LHS averages 37.5 ppg and is 0-3 so far when hitting 37 points or more in a game. The junior varsity game is scheduled for a 6pm tip, with the varsity to follow.LaVille is at the point of three straight home games and five of its next six in Lakeville.  The lone road game will be a November 29 visit to Bourbon to face fellow Hoosier North rival Triton.  The Lancers will host Elkhart Christian (Nov. 21), Mishawaka (Nov. 28), South Bend Clay (Dec. 2), and HNAC foe Winamac (Dec. 8).
