Boys Bowling Rallies Past Argos; Girls Fall To Argos, Plymouth

MISHAWAKA - LaVille bowling celebrated Senior Day Saturday. The Lancer boys opened against Argos, then had a bye in the second match of Michiana West Conference action at Parkway Lanes. A good team effort by LaVille as all 5 bowlers picked up key shots throughout the match. Hayden Gindle, Sean Kubsch, and John Andert finished strong in the 10th frame to seal the 8-pin victory over the Dragons. Andert finished with a 192, Kubsch had 167, and Grindle 154. Andrew Wolford and Ryan Riddle also added solid contributions in an all-around team effort. In game two, the Lancers started hot and stayed hot. Over three frames in the early portion of the game, LaVille came up with 12 marks out of 15 to take control. Then, as game two moved toward the latter stages, LHS only left four frames open out of 15 iincrease their advantage. Lancer fans watched and cheered as the club cranked out 19 strikes during the second game and finished either a spare of strike nearly 74-percent of the time in the game. Chase Schmidt came on in the scond game to finish with a team-high 211. Other to pick up big team points were Wolford, Kubsch, Andert, and Lowell Heminger, who also entered the line up in game two. The guys defeated Argos, 18-2, and improved to 8-0 on the season. Jaedyn Shaw and Brooklyn Smith continue to lead the LaVille girls bowling team. LaVille bowled one short, but continues to battle. Shaw finished with the high-game and high-series for LHS. The senior veteran completed a 150 in game one, then concluded with a 262 series. Smith concluded with a 227 series against Argos. In the second match of the day against Plymouth, Shaw, and Christiana Bau finished with 200 or higher series during the two games. Shaw once again led LHS with a high-game and high-series.
