LAKEVILLE - It's a basketball night in Lakeville! LaVille Lady Hoops looks to bounce back with a non-conference game against Elkhart Christian Academy on November 21. The junior varsity game, which tips off at 6 p.m., will play two quarters.  The varsity game is scheduled to follow at approximately 7 p.m. ECA is 2-3 overall and coming off a 44-25 loss to Mishawaka on November 18. Coach Jason Goon's team did not have a senior on the 2022-23 squad, so the Eagles bring in a veteran group. Sophomore Ivy Clapsaddle was the lone player in double-figures last year with a 10.4 point per game average.  Also among team leaders is senior Allison Russell at 6.0 ppg and 3.2 rebounds a game. Top rebounders were sophomore Sydni Haviland (5.1 rpg) and sophomore Ryleigh Viront (4.8 rpg). ECA is coming off a 6-14 season a year ago, scoring 31.2 points per contest and allowing just a shade under 40 points per outing. LHS is 1-4 following a 46-30 loss to Culver Academy on November 17.  Brooke Edison stuffed the stat sheet for the Lancers with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals.  London Kwiatkowski had 8 points and 4 rebounds, while Ava Weil added 6 points. Edison leads the LaVille offense with a 12.8 scoring average. She also pulls down 9.2 boards per game, and adds 4 steals per contest. Kwiatkowski scores 7.4 ppg and adds 4.4 rebounds.  Lily Smith adds 6.2 ppg and 3.6 rpg.  Weil chips in with a 5.0 scoring average, 4 rpg, and 2.5 assists. Having been successful in the series since 2000-01, the Lancers lead 20-3, including 10-2 in games played at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. LaVille is in the middle of a three-game homestand.  Mishawaka comes to town on November 28 before a Hoosier North Conference trip to Triton on November 29.
