LAKEVILLE - The LaVille wrestling team opened the season against Hoosier North rival Triton. In a back-and-forth match, it was the Lancers that edged out the Trojans, 42-33, at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. With the visitors leading 33-30, LaVille's Jonathan Neese and Ezekiel Jones were able to gain a fall in each match for the final outcome. Neese put the Lancers up 36-33 by pinning his opponent in 1:16. Jones followed with his own pin in 1:49 as LaVille rallied. Coach Chip Cochran's squad returns to action on Saturday, December 2, at the Jimtown Super Dual. Joining the Lancers will be Culver Community, John Glenn, Mishawaka Marian, and New Prairie in Baugo Township.
