That strong defense turned an 11-point deficit into runs of 12-0 and 7-3 over the final 11:10 of the game as the Lancers rallied for a 32-27 victory over South Bend Clay. LaVille's defense forced 29 Clay turnovers, of which 12 were steals for the Lancers. Brooke Edison led the sniper attack with six steals. Faith Mejer and Ava Weil stepped up to have big numbers for the Lancers.  Mejer was given an opportunity to contribute and answered the call off the bench.  She finished with a career-high 10 points to go with six rebounds, an assist and a steal.   Weil, who just notched a career-high 11 points vs. Triton on November 29,  led all scorers with a new career-high 13 points, including a big lift from long range to close the third quarter in the Clay contest.
