GAMEDAY: South Bend Riley Next For LaVille Lady Hoops

LAKEVILLE - It's a basketball night in Lakeville! LaVille Lady Hoops is set to play host to South Bend Riley in a non-conference game at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The junior varsity is scheduled to tip at 6 p.m., with the varsity set for action at approximately 7:30 p.m. Coach Nicholas Amor's club was scheduled to travel to the southside of South Bend, but due to a scheduling error, the Wildcats will come to Lakeville. Riley is 1-9 overall and comes to town following a 37-12 loss to John Glenn. Lucy Franko and Tory Harmon lead the Wildcat offense. Harmon and Franko are also the top rebounders for RHS. On defense, Riley averages 13 steals per game and is led by Keyeira Burton, who averages 3.4 steals per game. Amor's team is 3-8 overall, including a 1-4 mark over the last 5 games. The Lancers have battled, losing to Mishawaka by four points, at Logansport by six points, and in overtime at Triton. The Lancers are coming off a disappointing 32-26 loss at Logansport on December 9. Following the Riley game, LaVille will close out the 2023 portion of the schedule at Pioneer on December 15 and at home against rival John Glenn on December 19. The Hoosier North contest at Pioneer will be a girl-boy doubleheader. The varsity girls game is scheduled to tip at 6:30 p.m. in the main gym, with the junior varsity game to follow around 8 p.m. in gym #2.
