SOUTH BEND - The junior high basketball team traveled to South Bend for a non-conference game. In the 7th grade game, LaVille battled before falling, 37-30. Liam Amor led the Lancer offense with 14 points. Austin King, Lucas Kreske, and Colten Schwitz added 4 points each and Ethan Burghduf 2 points and Jonny Yoder 2 points. In the 8th grade game, a slow start by LaVille ended in the Lancers coming up short, 56-23, to the Trailblazers. Chase Henry had 8 points to lead LV. Trenton Laidig added 6, Hudson Rush 5, and Griffen Smith 3. LaVille takes a break for the holiday before closing the regular season against Culver Community on Jan. 9, 2024. The Lancers then open play in the 2024 Hoosier North Athletic Conference Championships against Knox on January 11. The first round HNAC game is set to be played at Dale E.
