LAKEVILLE - It's GAMEDAY! And time for the Everwise Bi-County Basketball Tournament semifinals! And for just the second time since 2008-09, rivals LaVille and Bremen will meet for a shot at cutting down the nets and grabbing the tournament trophy. Triton (8-2) faces John Glenn (6-6) in the 6:30 p.m. opener, while the Lancers (5-5) and Lions (6-4) meet around 8 p.m.  The boys varsity title game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. January 20 at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. Watch the game presented by LVH1 by clicking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvi1gt3Ibeo   The Falcons upended the Trojans, 45-44, in overtime just 10 days ago at the Trojan Trench. LaVille opened the 2023-24 season November 30 against Bremen, with the Lions posting a 52-45 win in Lakeville. Chase Devine led all scorers with 26 points, including three 3-pointers, and 10-of-16 overall from the field.  No other player finished in double-figures for the Lions. Michael Good put up 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting to top LaVille scorers.  Collin Czarnecki added 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists for LHS. "Bremen will be a very tough game for us!" explained LaVille coach Michael Edison.  "They are a solid team who beat us earlier this year and have been playing good basketball as of late.  We will really need to limit good looks for them as they have 3 players all shooting 40% or higher from 3 point range!  To put it in perspective, we don't have any player shooting that percentage.  Good shooting can make up for a lot of other things."   The only other time that LaVille and Bremen played in the Everwise Bi-County semifinals came, ironically, on Jan. 19, 2018. Exactly six years to the day.  LaVille picked up a 58-41 win to advance to the finals, where the Lancers defeated Oregon-Davis, 52-42. Bremen is led by Devine, who averages 17.3 points per game.  Silas Laidig adds 9.9, Camden Hickman 9.7, and Julian Alvarado 7.0. The trio of Michael Good, Lucas Plummer, and Collin Czarnecki lead LaVille. Game on . . .  GAMEDAY 59th ANNUAL EVERWISE BI-COUNTY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT Boys Varsity Semifinal #1 Triton (8-2) v.
