LAKEVILLE - After a solid victory over Argos on January 23, LaVille Lady Hoops returns to the hardwood. It will be Hoosier North action at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium as the Knox Redskins come to town. The LaVille-Knox date was origionally scheduled to be a girl-boy doubleheader back on Jan. 12, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Today is GAMEDAY and will be a varsity-only game between coach Nicholas Amor's club and the Lady Redskins. Knox is 7-15 overall and 4-2 in the HNAC. "Knox will run the same zone as Argos, the 3-2 zone," Amor said when asked about the Redskins. "They don't have a single weapon, but they do have a couple of key shooters. "They will pressure a little bit more than Argos, they will trap a little bit more. It will be an emphasis on taking care of the ball and finding the middle of the floor." The Redskins average 39.1 points per game and are 7-5 so far this season when they score at least 39 points. On defense, KHS allows 47.6 points per outing. Amor's club scored a season-high 54 points in Tuesday's non-conference game win over Argos. "It was nice to see more than 30 points on that scoreboard," said Amor, following the game at LaVille. LaVille is 8-11 and averages 34.6 ppg. The Lancers are 6-6 when they score at least 34 points in a game. LaVille's defense allows nearly 39 points an outing and is 8-1 when holding its opposition to 39 or less so far this season. "We have been playing good team defense as well as improving on our rebounding," said Amor. "We will really need to focus on taking care of the ball again tonight. "We did a really good job against Argos. We saw the extra look on offense, we made the extra pass and we finished and that's all I can ask for." Brooke Edison (10.6) and Jasmine Foster (6.3) lead the LaVille offense. London Kwiatkowski, Lily Smith, and Ava Weil add support to the Lancer offense. Edison, Foster, and Kwiiatkowski lead the LaVille rebounding effort. On defense, Amor's team picks up nearly 11 steals per game. Edison is the top sniper at nearly five per game. Game on . . .
