LAKEVILLE - LaVille got off to a hot start, withstood a second quarter rally and closed up a Hoosier North Athletic Conference victory, 74-51, over Culver Community. Collin Czarnecki, Lucas Plummer, and Michael Good - The Lancers 'Big Three' - led the way.  Their effort, with a strong contribution off the bench from Lance Edison and Andre Gonzales, helped push LaVille to a 4-0 Hoosier North record. "We had stretches in the game where we played very well against Culver," said Lancer basketball coach Michael Edison.  "There was a point where it got down to 3 points and Collin Czarnecki got a steal, got fouled, and knocked down 2 free throws.  This jump started us and got us going again in the right direction after Culver had a nice little run.  We had some good production from many of our kids so it was a nice overall team effort." Czarnecki led all scorers with 22 points.  Plummer hit for 19, and Good added 11.  Edison and Gonzales chipped in with  9 points each. Edison's club improves to 7-6 overall and 4-0 in the HNAC. The Lancers will play host to Career Academy South Bend on January 31.  It will be a varsity game only scheduled to tip at 6 p.m. at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium.
