Czarnecki Hits For 37 Points In HNAC Victory Over Knox

LAKEVILLE - LaVille outscored Knox 39-24 in the second half and pulled away for a 71-49 Hoosier North victory at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The Lancers were led by Collin Czarnecki's career-high 37 points. Lancer Edison had 10 points, Michael Good 8, and Lucas Plummer 7 for LHS. As the two teams battled in the first half, the Lancers took a 16-14 lead to close the first quarter and increased the lead to 32-25 at halftime. Czarnecki, Lucas Plummer, Lance Edison, and Michael Good got in the scoring column to aid the LaVille cause. In the third quarter, coach Michael Edison's club extended the LHS lead to 16 points, thanks in part to an 18-point effort from Czarnecki. Czarnecki, a 6'3" guard, is coming off a career-high 29 points on Saturday in a HNAC win against Caston. Edison's crew collected 24 assists on 28 made field goals, led by Plummer with 6, Cody Allen 4, Braedyn Foster 4. The Lancer defense picked up 10 steals. Czarnecki was the lead sniper with five steals. Leading rebounders were Good and Foster, hauling down 5 boards each. LHS moves to 11-11 overall and will close the 2023-24 regular season on Feb. 24 against Trinity Greenlawn (7-13). The Trinity Greenlawn game will also be Senior Night as we recognize Michael Good and Lucas Plummer, along with their parents. JV is scheduled to tip at 6 p.m. Senior Night recognition will be held prior to the start of the varsity game.
