LAKEVILLE - A little bit of hitting, mixed with solid pitching were effective ingredients for LaVille in a 11-1 victory over Culver. Collin Czarnecki and Kasron Quinn combined to be an effective offensive source as they collected three hits each. On the bump, Plummer tossed a solid game, striking out 10 Cavalier batters  The righty also gave up zero hits and one run over five innings walking three. LaVille amassed 10 hits in the game.  Quinn provided pop in the middle part of the lineup going 3-for-3 with two doubles and three runs batted in.  Czarnecki added 3-for-4 at the plate, including a double, and an RBI.  Andrew Gonzales and Braedyn Foster each collected multiple hits.  Sean Kubsch had a pair of walks. Coach Brian Lawler's club has a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Brayden Schwitz had a couple of stolen bases, and the Lancer defense turned a double play. Lawler's squad scored early and often, taking leads of 5-0 after one innings, 8-0 after two, and 10-0 to close three innings. "Obviously got a good start from Lucas Plummer," Lawler said of the 6-foot, 3-inch right hander. "He got a little wild in the 4th but was able to bounce back nicely in the 5th." With LHS leading 10-1, Andre Gonzales picked up the walk-off RBI for the final count. "Andre with the base hit to bring home (Collin) Czarnecki in the bottom of the 5th to end it," noted Lawler. "And another good good day at the plate for K.Q. (Karson Quinn). He's been swinging a hot bat so far this season and doing a nice job behind the plate. Czar with a big day with three hits and allowed us to put some runs up early to get us going." The Lancers will travel to Culver April 16 to finish up the two-game HNAC series.
