LAKEVILLE - The girls tennis team played host to North Judson-San Pierre in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference match. LaVille battled in several matches before falling 5-0 to the Blue Jays at the LaVille Tennis Complex. Coach April Miller and her staff continue to watch their team closley and make adjustments accordingly when it comes to which player(s) will play at what place in the line up. Miller made a few changes from just a night ago - this time placing Sacchy Demiar at No. 3 singles, moving Lilly Higley from No. 2 doubles to No. 1 doubles with Cloie Davis, and Meghan Menting from No. 3 singles to No. 2 doubles. Kate Henry, who played No. 3 singles a day earlier moved to the No. 2 doubles spot to partner with Menting. With a young team, LaVille has shown improvement from early in the season to mid-April, this time pushing North Judson in several spots. The team of Higley and Davis pushed their opposition for the entire match. LaVille won the first set, 6-3. Judson came back to tie the match at 1-1 after a 6-2 victory. In the third set, the HNAC counterparts battled to 6-6, forcing a playoff. In the extra session, Higley and Davis battled before falling, 7-4.
