CULVER - There were plenty of heroes in game two of the Hoosier North series between LaVille and Culver. Brayden Schwitz was solid on the bump, allowing 2 hits, 0 earned runs, no walks, and 10 strikeouts as the Lancers shutout the Cavaliers, 13-0. Offensively, Andew Gonzales had four hits to lead a 16-hit attack.  Gonzales doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth. The top seven hitters accounted for the highest offensive output for LHS this season.  Coach Brian Lawler's club scored multiple runs in the third, fourth, and fifth to finish the game by the 10-run rule after five innings.  Collin Czarnecki and Karson Quinn collected three hits each,  Lucas Plummer and Schwitz collected two hits each. Andrew Wolford and Sean Kubsch had one hit each to round out the offensive tally. "We swung the bats well," said Lawler. "And we got good starting pitching again against Culver." LHS moved to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the HNAC. After a non-conference game against Bethany Christian, Lawler's crew will face Pioneer for a big, early-season Hoosier North doubleheader on April 20.  Game one starts at 10 a.m., with the second game scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. start.  LaVille is 2-0 in HNAC play, while Pioneer is 1-1.
