Boys Track Ties Triton In 3-Team Meet At Knox; Good, Hulsey Set New School Records

KNOX - LaVille and Triton headed to Knox for a 3-team Hoosier North Athletic Conference meet. In the end, the Lancers and Trojans finished tied for first-place with 75 team points. The Redskins finished third. During the meet, Michael Good and Lincoln Hulsey continue a strong start to the 2024 high school track and field season. Good, who just broke the discus record on April 9, rang the bell again. The senior replaced his own school-record of 165-feet, 3-inches with a new record of 171'-10". Hulsey, who broke the school pole vault record with a 15'-0" vault in the 2023 state finals, broke his own school record. Hulsey has set the new standard at 15'-7". Good also won the shot put, while Hulsey took the 400 dash. Other blue ribbon efforts came from Avery Garrett in the high jump and the 4X800 relay team of Avery Garrett, Lance Edison, Colin Christy, and Sam Sherk. LaVille's next meet will be the 81st running of the Goshen Relays April 20, at Foreman Field.
