LAKEVILLE - The boys track and field team welcomed Marquette Catholic and Winamac to Lakeville for a triangular meet. LaVille opened the scoring with a dominating 37-16 gap over the Warriors following the field events. Michael Good, Avery Garrett, Sam Sherk, and Matthew Schaeffer were winners for LHS.  Jonathan Neese, Lincoln Hulsey, Lance Edison, Konnor, Eli Platz and Austin Wright added valuable depth in the field events. Coach Kathe Beehler’s crew also fared well in the running events, capturing seven more blue ribbons. On the track, Brock Gest, Dylan Miller, Cole Stafford, and Hulsey all picked up crucial first-place points.  A pair of Lancer relay teams also scored top honors in the 4X100 and the 4X400. On the ladies side, solid depth and another fine effort in field events got LaVille off to a good start. Brooke Edison, Moriah Richhart, and Madison Singleton picked up their own blue ribbons.   Edison won the high jump, Richhart the shot put, and Singleton the long jump. Adding solid field event depth were Reagan Bollenbacher, Sarah Tharp, Reagan Mitchell, Ava Fuchs and Hallie Hulsey. The Lancer start with a 27-23 edge over the Warriors after the field events. To top things off, the LaVille ladies put great teamwork together to hold off Winamac in the end. Jessica Keb (800), London Kwiatkowski (200)  and the 4X400 relay team of Mikalah Kuskye, Mackenna Deason, and Edison registered first place. LHS also shined in the relay events.  Backing the 4X400 relay team, were the members of the 4X800 and 4100 relay teams, who hustled for a second place spot in each event. Both teams will return to action as LaVille will host the Lancer Relays on April 26.  Field events start at 5:30 p.m.  Running events are set for 7:30 p.m.  A field of eight schools is expected for Lancer Relays.
